The Pieterpad

As The Netherlands went back into lockdown in the middle of my second attempt to walk across the country,
and all the shops stayed close, I had to draw my cards instead of buy regular postcards.
These were some of the buildings that brightened up that gloomy winter walk.
(I finally walked all 495km in April 2021)

In the early days of the pandemic, I was one of several artists who took part in
Guillaume Roukhomovsky’s project to raise funds for the WHO’s COVID-Solidarity Response Fund.
My drawings were based on the refuges that sheltered me on my walks.

THE BACK WALL

When time permits, I doodle on
the back wall of the agency together with
a better doodler, Bae Soo Yeon.
 

Slowly but surely the wall should eventually
(both fingers crossed and thumbs held) be completed.

gift exchange is over, the trash made
from all the wrappers are used to
create a special grinch's gift.

Every summer while waiting for the fog to lift in San Francisco,
I'd hop on the Amtrak and spend hundreds of hours trying to catch a glimpse of what the USA so great.
